OPENSOURCE Art presents In War/At War: The Practice of Everyday, an exhibition and series of events that investigates everyday practices, projects and tactics explored by individuals who cope, adapt and adjust to the climate of war.

Saturday, October 7, 2-4 PM - In the Aftermath of War:
A screening of Citizen Soldiers and “Heroes” followed by a discussion with Vietnam Veterans Against the War member / veteran Joe Miller and artist / veteran Aaron Hughes.
Saturday, October 28, 2-4 PM- Art in Response to War: Join National Vietnam Veterans Art Museum curator Michael Helbing and University of Illinois Department of Art and Design Assistant Professor Tom Albrecht in a gallery talk about art in response to war.
TBA- Global Medical Relief Fund (GMRF) and Kenan Malkic:
Join Representatives of GMRF for a screening of turtles can fly, a film about refugee children in Iraq with a presentation following by Kenan Malkic. He will discuss how his experience of losing both his arms and a leg from a landmine in Bosnia fostered his work with GMRF an organization working to assist children injured in wars around the world.

Tuesday, October 10, 8 PM - Screening: Iraq for Sale @ University YMCA, 1001 S. Wright St. A film exposé of the contractors working in

Wednesday, October 11, 7 PM - Screening: The Ground Truth
@ IL Disciples Foundation , 610 E. Springfield. A film from the 2006 Sundance Film Festival documenting the experiences of soldiers in the current Iraq war. Presented by the Progressive Resource/Action Cooperative. For more information visit (www.prairienet.org/prc).
